1. Privacy statement
With the exception of IP addresses and cookies, no personal information is automatically collected about visitors of the Site. Any other personal data ("personal data" or "data") that you can disclose to us is collected for the purpose that is communicated to you and/or with your consent. If you decide not share us with the necessary personal information to provide you with the service offered on the Site, we may not be able to offer you this service.
If we have collected your data, you have the right (i) to access your personal data, (ii) to require it to be rectified, completed, updated, locked or erased, and (iii) if you are French citizen, to define the fate of your personal data after your death by contacting us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.

2. Use of the personal information we collect
We may collect data that you provide to us directly, for example when you order products, when you sign up for our newsletters, when you contact BIC through the "contact us" section, or by any other way to get in touch with us. This personal data may include: civility, name, first name, email, postal address, telephone number, bank details and any other information you choose to provide us with.
The data you provide to us to create your account and order products is used by BIC and/or suppliers working on behalf of BIC to enable you to order on the Site, deliver your ordered products, inform you about the follow-up of your order and/or send you other information about your order.
The data you provide to us in the return voucher is used by BIC and/or a provider mandated by BIC to allow you to process your return request.
The data you provide us to receive newsletters is used by BIC and/or a provider working on behalf of BIC to inform you about our Site's offers. You can change your content preferences within the "my account" page. Each email received also includes an option to opt out of the newsletter.
The data you provide to us in the contact forms is used by BIC and/or a provider working on behalf of BIC to respond to your comments, questions or enquiries. With the exception of responding to an email we received, our intention is not to contact you unless you have requested specific information. Although we keep your contact information in our database, we only use it to respond to your requests.
This data and any other information you would provide to us in any other case for example for spot operations (games, surveys) will also be treated only for the apparent purpose (your participation) and/or that is communicated to you at the time of collection.

We may also use your personal data for other purposes that are communicated to you and that you accept, or for any other purpose permitted or required by applicable laws.
3. The retention period of the personal information we collect
In accordance with legal obligations, the data collected is kept for a limited time, in proportion to the purposes for which it was communicated to us or collected. Thus, the data provided as part of the registration for the newsletters will be kept in our mailing list until the user is unsubscribed. Your bank details are not kept automatically unless you agree.
The retention period of other data provided will not exceed 3 years from your last activity recorded on the Site. You may at any time withdraw or amend your consent for our use or disclosure of your personal data, or request that we remove it from BIC records, subject to restrictions imposed by law and contracts.
4. Links to or from other websites
The Site may contain links to other websites. BIC has no control and assumes no responsibility for the privacy practices of these websites. You should check the privacy policies of each website you visit.
5. Use and collection of information, third-party platforms
The Site may integrate third party platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter “like” and “share” function. We can collect technical information using cookies and other technologies on our own behalf and through the use of third-party platforms, such as those named in this paragraph. Technical information may include your IP address, browsing path, operating system, and other information. When you interact with the third-party platforms, such as using the Facebook “like” or “share” features, that platform may record your interaction with the Site. The third-party platforms have their own privacy policies, which govern the use of any personal or non-personal information they collect.

10. Confidnetiality of children's data
We do not intentionally collect or store the personal information of children under the age of 13 or other age restrictions defined by local regulations. If we decided otherwise, we would obtain the consent of a legal representative before collecting children's personal information when required by applicable laws and regulations (the age at which the consent of a legal representative is required differs from country to country).
